Incoming: A pertinent New Year message.
You are not a problem to be solved.
As we soak up all these hyped-up resolutions, long to-do lists, and trendy ways to be more productive and efficient, I want to encourage you not to view yourself as a problem or project to solve. You are so much more beautiful than you realize.
No chipping away at our bodies, minds, or lifestyles this year. Let's embrace our full selves through the expressions we wish to pursue.
Our desires pull us closer to the people, places, and experiences meant for us.
There is nothing wrong with you.
You are not done. You’ll never be done.
You are not lost. There is nowhere really to be.
I had to remind myself the other day that it’s not a crime to not be everything I want to be yet. And can you imagine how dull everything would be if that was the case?
Change is the only constant. That gives me so much comfort.
Some years will bring massive changes and identity shifts, while others carry with them much more dainty transformations.
Last year I found a few strings of words in meditation that helped me focus on expansion and finding connection instead of problem-solving.
Deep water. Assured. Ruthless.
I found my way of oddly connecting those words to actions I could take in my life.
I invite you to journal, reflect, or meditate on what words or symbolism could guide you this year.
Deep water felt nebulous at first, but I can correlate it back to some of my most pivotal moments like dealing with loss and saving someone from drowning.
I will share my 2024 string of words in Friday’s post.
‘Til then think of yours.
xx

YES to the New Year being an opportunity to “focus on expansion and finding connection instead of problem-solving.” 🙏
Great life motto. We don’t need optimization...we need connection...they don’t get along that well...
